C. J. Tuma is a queer neurodivergent breaking out of her Midwestern nice shell to dig deep into the trauma and struggle that so many seek to explore within the safety of fiction. She fills her worlds with people you might recognize and struggles that you can see yourself in.
Her path to becoming an author began when her fifth-grade teacher read a bit of description she wrote to the whole class, and she’s been writing ever since. Her early works centered around magic and destiny and romance, and honestly, not much has changed. Except now, the stories are a lot gayer.
